Research Associate, Neuroscience-Assay Development

This pivotal full time Research Associate opening resides in the Discovery team, where the incumbent will partner with scientists and have the opportunity to contribute toward experimental design of exploratory studies, conduct experiments, analyze and present data and results to project teams. The candidate will be responsible for supporting established cell culture assays for existing and future programs.


The ideal candidate must have a BS or MS in Biology or a relevant scientific discipline, with a minimum of 4 years laboratory experience in an academic or industrial setting. Prior experience working in a biotech organization welcomed. Technically, candidates should have a very strong background in assay development and /or neuroscience, and be familiar with various technologies. Technical expertise in culturing primary cell types, including plasmid transfected, and performing invitro pharmacology would be ideal. Experience with cell stress assays, automated compound handling, fluorescent microscopy and Western Blotting important. Co-authorship on scientific publications welcomed. Effective verbal and written communication skills required as is the ability to work in a matrixed organization.
